About Us
The Healthy Maine Partnership of Greater Waterville is an organization located at the United Way of Mid-Maine and is subcontracted through Greater Waterville Planned Approach to Community Health (PATCH). PATCH is one of 28 Healthy Maine Partnerships throughout the state, and is a coalition of local people who work to improve the health and quality of life for those who live and work in our community. It is PATCH's goal to continually maintain a process to assess and address the community health needs of the Greater Waterville Region.
The Healthy Maine Partnership of Greater Waterville works with individuals, organizations, and state partners to:
- Reduce tobacco use and exposure
- Increase Physical activity
- Improve Nutrition
- Link people to health screenings and community resources to prevent and reduce the impact of chronic diseases.
Our Mission
To support and encourage policies, environments, education and activities, in our community and schools, that promote good nutrition, physical activity and the reduction of tobacco use.
Our Funders
The Healthy Maine Partnership of Greater Waterville is funded in part by tobacco settlement funds through a grant from the Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention, Department of Health and Human Services.
