Physical Activity What is "Regular Physical Activity” Anyway? According to Promoting Physical Activity a Guide for Community Action, “regular” activity is activity that is done most days of the week and burns at least 150 calories of energy per day. Did you know that only 1/3 of Americans 18 years and older participate in regular exercise? It only takes a half an hour a day to burn 150 calories if you are doing moderate exercise. So tomorrow when you go shopping, park on the other side of the mall and walk to the store, plant a garden, or walk the dog for an half an hour and make your heart happy! Want to Move More in Central Maine?
